a riot occurred in South Carolina...last I checked McMasters is a Republican.

nope...Summerville and Columbia...Columbia is the capitol where Henry McMasters is located...several police cars were torched...evidently by instigators...and it wouldn't matter who is mayor...they have little control over riots...that belongs to the mayor...their only defense is the police in their jurisdiction, but since this is the capitol we are talking about...McMasters was fully responsible for protecting it...he likely won't win again though, because people are pissed at his response to unemployment and that includes both right and left and btw....I would expect you to learn some Geography...Charlotte is not in South Carolina...it is in North Carolina.
