What gun law would have prevented this? That’s sadly the outcome when you have out-of-control gun laws in place.
And most US states have such silly gun laws.
Guns lead to 30.000 to 50.000 deaths in the US a year, most of which would be preventable in other countries due to better gun laws.
In a decade, more people are dying of guns in the US than in many wars …
They've got a suspect in custody and still don't have a guess as to why? If he shot 25 people it wasn't accidental that a bullet or two went astray.MSN

I've always said that if 100 are shot and only 1 dies many people just ignore it. But the other 99 (or in this case 23) don't. Nor do their families.

The one that stops allowing every Tom, Dick and Harry to buy guns. What gun law would have prevented this?

Agree with the out of control gun laws. We need to get rid of those gun laws and quit trying to regulate it. It says shall not be infringed for a reason. Quit infringing on my rights! I don’t try to infrinb on yours. That’s sadly the outcome when you have out-of-control gun laws in place.

yeah, maybe a bunch of people started shooting.Since Arkansas is an open carry state and multiple gunmen were involved, how do we know this wasn't just collateral damage from a "good guy with a gun"?
People who've been raised in a happy, well-adjusted home generally don't do things like this. That’s sadly the outcome when you have out-of-control gun laws in place.

Not likely, since usually when things go wrong with a good Samaritan, it's the good Samaritan who gets killed, not innocent bystanders.Since Arkansas is an open carry state and multiple gunmen were involved, how do we know this wasn't just collateral damage from a "good guy with a gun"?

I think we're much too afraid to criticize parenting in this country.
Instead we focus on the symptoms. Laws and punishment after-the-fact for broken people.
Pick one. Then show how it would comply with the constitution.Virtually all European-style sensible gun laws.
The availability of guns has increased by over 270 million since 1986, while the rate of violent crime and homicides has declined. Guns have nothing to do with it.We also have shootings, but they are isolated.
The US has 100x the gun deaths we have here due to silly laws (carry and vast availability of guns).

So no law that can be implemented then. How does your proposal, which is not possible, prevent this? The one that stops allowing every Tom, Dick and Harry to buy guns.
criminals, by definition, ignore and/or violate laws. The idea that someone intending to commit a murder (or a mass shooting) will decide to change their plans based on fear of violating gun possession laws is ridiculous.

Then pick one. What specific law would you implement, that would have prevented this.A) virtually any European gun law would comply with the US constitution. We do not ban guns, in fact we allow any adult to own one. Just besides that, there are severe restrictions.
Correct.B) gun murders have generally decreased since the 80s everywhere.
But we know the firearm is irrelevant to the homicide rate. As the rate of ownership increased by over 270 million, yet homicides decreased. But much more so in Europe, where it’s just 1/3rd anymore. A lot has to do with better forensics: people watch CSI and know they’ll get caught by a 95% certainty when committing a murder. In the US though, the murder rate only dropped from a jaw dropping 11 rate per 100.000 to 5 in 2018, before rising to 8 this year. No other western country has seen such an increase in gun deaths in the past 2 years. Only the US, where firearm purchases exploded in the past years.
He wouldn't have a gun.So no law that can be implemented then. How does your proposal, which is not possible, prevent this?
How so? What law could have prevented him from obtaining a gun? I’m asking for this supposed law you are asking for, that complies with the US constitution. He wouldn't have a gun.

**** the Second Amendment. How so? What law could have prevented him from obtaining a gun? I’m asking for this supposed law you are asking for, that complies with the US constitution.
