I am moving, not far, but its a different state. My supplemental Medicare plan went from 340 to 420.

Seriously, this is insane.

This is especially insane as here in NYC I have the best doctors in the world.

Where i am moving to, I would not use their doctors or hospitals.

I will continue to use my same doctors in NYC. So why am I paying so much more for such a shifty medical area?


Then the nightmare of changing registration and lisence. Why?

I'm concerned that fixing our healthcare access system for real is probably going to require another depression to happen first, unfortunately.

I'm struck by what seems like selfishness in your post. Where is your concern for people in that area, who have bad care you don't want to use, and don't have your NYC doctors? One possible answer to your question is if you are moving to a lower population area, and one less attractive for 'top doctors'. Where is your support for universal healthcare, ending the harmful for-profit system?

Anyone can use the doctors i do.

Thing is, few are smart enough to seek out the world's best in each field.

I have no support for universal healcare.

Medicare is too good and changing it will **** it up.

It's a hell of a lot better than not having it, but it's so good you wouldn't use its resources in an area. And you seem to be on the side that is trying to destroy it and has been since it was created. You said you subscribe to the Republican private alternative scam, apparently 'Medicare Advantage', already.

Medicare is open to all doctors. It is not network driven as are private plans. Did not know that did you? No you did not.

I would never buy the scam advantage plans so again you understood nothing.
An advantage plan is not the same as a Medicare supplemental plan.

Good for you. I used the word apparently in my statement to indicate that I wasn't sure if what you were saying about supplemental plan was the same as Medicare Advantage. Good for you for recognizing the Advantage scam, and bad you didn't understand the word apparently as you clarified they are different.

Medicare is not network dependent
The doctors, regardless of the insurance , suck.
Medicare is still the best
Just nothing state of the art.

So you're saying no one should use the resources in that whole area, and everyone should just use better ones, there's no problem. My point was that you said the whole area has low quality, and you showed no concern about the people who use it. You only commented how you would get better quality.
 
Exactly. And none of this has to do with Medicare premiums raising in a poor doctor area


Also, anyone can make the trek to NYC for better doctors as i will be doing.
People from around the world come to NYC for treatment by the best.
I am glad people are dumb or it would take years to get an appointment instead of 6 months.

How am I selfish? Because I want the access to healcare available to me now that I qualify?

I am sick of this generation never wanting to pay their dues.

They want free college. Infinite paid maternity leave, tax breaks because they decided to have a kid.
They want babysitters for their little monsters at no cost.

It goes on and on.

This thread was about paying $80 more for supplemental where the Healthcare is lesser, a disaster.

And yeah, as I picked up the tab for my parents, it is time for the little spoiled shits to pick up the tab for me.
