🇫🇷 French 🇫🇷 Presidential Election: Live Updates and News (10 April 2022)

President Macron (Republic of Movement, LREM, centre) spoke in Marseilles on Saturday almost exclusively about ecology: combating global warming, eliminating hydrocarbons as energy sources and their replacement with nuclear, solar and wind energy, removing non-recyclable plastic from the economy, preferred themes of the candidate of the populist left (non-subjected France, LFI), ranked third with 21,95% (the first of the first to the first to the first of the M. (National meeting of RN, populist right) by 23,15%.

Macron announced that if he were re-elected, his Prime Minister would be directly in charge of green planning and that the posts of Minister for Energy Panification and Minister for Territorial Ecological Planning will be set up in the government.

If the French are to trust me again, we will immediately launch a massive effort to purify the air in our schools, our hospitals, from our nursing homes, from all public buildings. And you will see the effects by the end of the year, said President Macron in front of a rally in his young supporters were majority.

The candidate President's message was clearly addressed to the young electorate who even if he does not choose the Le Pen vote, is tempted by absenteism on the 2nd of 24 April. Surveys show that after Melenchon's call to close the urns on 10 April, more than half of his electorate privileges the absence of the vote, the absenteism vote or is undecided in view of the 2nd tour.

April 24, referendum on or against ecology, 24 April referendum on youth, 24 April referendum on or against the Republic, concluded the President by ending his speech with the Marseilles, Long live the Republic, Live France!

The 15 opinion polls carried out after the first ballot give an average voting intention of 53.6% for Macron and 46.4% for Le Pen.

Most normal polls offer an option for Le Pen though.

In these polls, about 30% of Melenchon voters say they'll vote for Macron, 15% for Le Pen, 25% would go vote but invalidate their ballot and 30% wouldn't vote.

In a long analysis, Le Monde shows how a victory of the right-wing extremist Marine Le Pen at the French presidential on April 24th would allow Vladimir Putin to get out of international isolation. If Marine Le Pen arrives at the presidency of the French Republic, this would be a diplomatic manman for the head of the Kremlin, he believes the French daily reference.

Le Monde recalls from the beginning that Despite recent tactical changes, the diplomacy that Marine Le Pen envisages corresponds to what the USSR has always wanted. And Putin's Russia has wanted it since 2011, namely the fragility of the European Union and transatlantic ties. This double objective, which Putin no longer dreamed of, Le Pen's diplomacy would bring him to a tricolor tray. It's what comes out of the programme recently announced and confirmed by the extreme right-wing candidate. Write them monde.

Following its analysis, the French reference daily notes: Marine Le Pen opposed the sanctions taken against Russia. The president's arrival, the conviction of the Russian invasion would be nothing but rhetoric. The candidate criticizes the delivery of weapons to Kiev. To get a truce or to favour negotiations, she only stakes on the force of her speech. But what planet is Mrs. Le Pen living on? Le Monde's wondering.

A newspaper that recalls that «The leader of the French extreme right has been flirting with the Moscow autocrat for a long time. In 2017 she went to the Kremlin to beg for a picture of her great man and to ask for a bank loan to her party.

In an interview with the BBC channel then, Le Pen said he was on the same line as Putin and two other ultranationalists, American Donald Trump and Indian Narendra Modi.

This attraction to the musculos of the era was doubled by a friendship with the Hungarian Viktor Orban, a Democrat of the assumed.

All of this defines a worrying political profile» It's also writing the French evening newspaper.

They are then also also quoted commentators or politicians. So American politolog Ian Bremmer believes that «Le Pen is Putin's best book. to divide the Westerners.

On his side, former Italian premier Enrico Letta, says that 'If on April 24th wins Le Pen, Putin can stop his tanks as he will be won, he will be at the heart of Europe.

Marine Le Pen does not only want to weaken transatlantic ties but also wants to destabilise the European Union by aligning once again on the Kremlin's deep wishes. However, the policy of the right-wing extremist will not only fragilise the EU but also the single euro, which is the French economies.

Ultranationalist ideologist ideologist, opposed to the spirit of European construction itself, is advancing to destroy an ensemble, the European Union, which allows us today to negotiate from equal to the world's largest. Le Pen, rejecting the couple formed with Germany, prefers the Paris-Budapest duo.

In the end of his analysis, Le Monde concis: Mrs Le Pen lives in another era. Her foreign policy would diminish France, it would know her status and economic and strategic policy. Someone, however, in his vast office at the Kremlin, would be able to do so.».

Yeah, as it should be.

In most European countries, voting takes only 2 minutes.

Only here and then you see longer lines (now with Covid protections, more).

In most rural areas in the US, voting is very quick too - but then you have such states like Florida or New York or Pennsylvania or Georgia, where you see 6-hour long lines and people leave. WTF ?

Voting administration isn’t so hard, but unfortunately Republican governors and state legislatures drain democratic cities from proper money flowing into election organization and even some democratic led states are very incompetent (New York !).
I think the democrats plan to bring back Covid a month before November so they can flood the mailboxes with fake ballots again.

This has been proven to be a false claim.

Don't buy the ridiculous conspiracy theories of Donald J(oke) Trump.
Really? Arizona had lots of fake ballots that were mailed in and were approved with just a 5-second glance. Same with many other states.

WHY do you think the dems are pushing so hard for unverified mail-in ballots? WHY do you think FB gave the DNC 500 million for mailboxes in the hood?

All of this has been debunked.

Mail voting is safe and fair.

The most voter fraud, even though only isolated cases, are committed by Republican voters. Most people convicted of voter fraud are Republicans too.

Let's hope France sends the world a message and puts LePen in there.

Le Pen trails Macron by 13 points as of today (56.5 to 43.5).

Everyday she is falling further behind, because France is not Hungary and most French see her as Un-French and a puppy of Putin.

Voters do not want some broad steered by Putin in the Elysee.

That sucks. Shows the voters of France are as stoopid as those who elected Biden.

French President Emmanuel Macron and his far-right challenger Marine Le Pen go head-to-head in a high-stakes TV debate on Wednesday, seeking to sway undecided voters with just days left before the second and final round of the presidential election on Sunday. Watch the debate live or follow our liveblog below starting at 8:45pm Paris time (GMT+2).

Macron holds a solid lead in polls ahead of the April 24 run-off, but his political allies have warned against complacency ahead of the prime-time duel with Le Pen – their only direct debate of the campaign – which will be watched by millions.

Le Pen cleared her schedule this week to concentrate on preparing for the face-off, hoping to avoid a repeat of the 2017 debate fiasco that ended her hopes of pulling off an upset win five years ago.

This time, Macron will not be the outsider making his first run at public office – he will have a complicated, at times controversial, five-year record to defend against a challenger who has tried to soften her more extremist views.

Debate starts in 10 minutes !
