“If We Stay Quiet They Crush Us”

This is why you atheists LOVE the notion of separation of church and state. Because you get free reign in imposing your beliefs on everybody else without having to follow the restrictions of 'religion', when a religion is exactly what you are.
What needs to happen is for atheism is to be put on the same competitive field as Catholicism, a comparison which atheism will surely lose. That's why atheists fight like hell to insist 'We're not a religion. You can't challenge our policies".

More of your usual nonsense. We do not have beliefs nor do we want to impose anything on anyone. We just don't want schools paid for with public funds from indoctrinating/forcing religion on people.

Except christianity is loosing people and atheism is growing.

Mass murder of poor people. He was shot while celebrating Mass.

But what we really need to see more of are canonizations from the victims of Marxist regimes worldwide. There are many deserving martyrs.

Yes, he was shot by right wing militia members/government agents.

Secondly, there are no marxist regimes, that is another fake story of yours because these countries are dictatorial communist nations. They are nothing like a marxist society.

And canonizing is as ridiculously catholic and nonsensical as beatification is.

And how about the millions and millions of victims of religious regimes?

I have explained this repeatedly, so i don't know what part you don't understand. Atheists are doing exactly what you claim --tyrannizing Americans who don't share their beliefs, and they're doing it under the cover of 'separation of church and state' which the Constitution never called for.
Don't repeat the same thing again.
Thanks

No, you have CLAIMED the same nonsense repeatedly. And it is not understandable because it is fake and untruthful. I don't want to force anyone to have my atheist views, I just don't want religious tyranny pushed by the government. Which is what you seem to want to allow.

And the first amendment has been seen (together with the 14th amendment) that prove the separation between church and state.

That's most unfortunate.

Give the left here in America enough power and they'll do the same things.

They've already kicked God out of the schools, out of government, torn down crosses everywhere they can, tried to criminalize free religious speech (don't speak out against homosexual sin, etc.), turned America into a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah, tried to keep teachers and students from wearing cross necklaces, and generally engage in a wide range of actions offensive to Christianity and Judaism, while embracing Muslims. They have even embraced Castro, communism, socialism, and anything that doesn't have a rigid moral framework. Frankly, they're just as bad as the regime in Cuba.
Your god must be pretty weak being kicked out of so many places. Try the god of war next time.

No, my God isn't weak. He's taking names and casting the stiff-necked God-mocking crowd into Hell when they die. No doubt he's also taking some off the earth early as in the days of Ananias and Sapphira. Of course, the stiff-necked crowd is in denial now, as they were then. They remain clueless.

Your god sounds mean and petty. If you don't do what i want I'm tossing you into hell. Taking names and kicking ass. I seem to have heard the same thing on january the sixth. Undoubtedly one of your god believers uttered it.

If you wind up in Hell, it will be your own fault for your dumb choice in kicking God's salvation - Jesus Christ - to the curb. As for January 6th, that's epic for stiff-necked Democrats to whine about that after torching cities all summer before that.

Finally, you don't get to pick who the God of the universe is. And thank God he isn't a bed-wetting liberal meathead, though he can save those kind of people too if they repent.

Freedom of religion or belief in Cuba - January 2021 - CSW

Introduction

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has intensified existing challenges in the protection and promotion of international human rights. Since the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared a global pandemic on 11 March 2020, governments across the world announced nationwide lockdowns, using emergency powers to curtail certain fundamental human rights and civil liberties to preserve life and limit the spread of the virus. While international human rights law considers all human rights to be universal, inalienable, indivisible and interdependent, not all human rights are absolute, and limitations can be applied to certain rights and freedoms in exceptional circumstances such as threats to national security or public health. However, it is imperative that any such restrictions are applied in a limited and non-discriminatory manner.

Call for repeal of legal decrees that drive religious freedom violations - CSW

34 individuals and organizations have signed onto a letter to the Cuban Ambassador to the United States, Lianys Torres Rivera, raising concerns about violations of the right to freedom of religion or belief (FoRB) and freedom of expression in Cuba. The violations are largely taking place under provisions in the country’s Legal Decrees 349 and 370.

The letter, signed by activists, artists, academics, and non-governmental organizations, emphasizes the intersection of FoRB and freedom of expression on the island and details several cases in which writers, artists and musicians in Cuba have been targeted under Legal Decrees 349 and 370.

Across Cuba, the authorities use all kinds of tactics to harass and discriminate against people of all faiths and beliefs. All religious groups are targeted to varying degrees, usually tied to levels of perceived lack of support of or cooperation with the government.

Maryam1 is a Muslim artist who has experienced significant pressure from the government because of her faith. She explains how this has affected every area of her life.

I graduated from university in visual arts in 1990. Everything was fine until I converted to Islam in 2004.

A small group began to meet at our home every Friday for prescribed prayers as well as to study the Qur’an, and to learn and teach the basics of Islam. This house of prayers operated until 2017, when an agent who went by the name of José2 invaded our home without a search warrant, claiming, ‘I’m sure you have a bomb there.’

Later we discovered that some of the people who frequented our house under the pretext of learning about Islam were in reality undercover [government intelligence] agents. We decided to close the house of prayers for this reason.

The Castroit regime has a record of abusing freedom of religion or belief. Over the years it has intimidated and harassed church leaders, expropriated church buildings, arrested religious freedom defenders, and harassed the children of religious leaders. Yet those under fire are displaying immense courage, refusing to be intimidated into giving up their faith.

Pastor remain detain fallowing arrest during nationwide protest
Pastor remains detained following arrest during nationwide protests - CSW

3 Aug 2021

CSW continues to be gravely concerned for the welfare of Pastor Lorenzo Rosales Fajardo, who was detained by State Security officers on 11 July during peaceful protests in the Cuban town of Palma Soriano.

On 2 August, Cuban authorities denied a request by the Pastor Rosales Fajardo’s lawyer for ‘habeus corpus’, which would have required that the pastor be physically present in court and a reason given for his detention.

The family has retained a lawyer who has been able to meet with the pastor on one occasion. The lawyer reported that Pastor Rosales Fajardo was extremely thin. Photos taken of the pastor at the time of his detention show him in a chokehold. He told the lawyer that he was handcuffed, thrown to the ground and repeatedly kicked with force in his abdomen and face, resulting in the loss of a tooth.

The pastor’s family has had no contact with Pastor Rosales Fajardo since his detention. His wife, Maridilegnis Carballo, was informed by State Security on 14 July that he was being held in a State Security prison in the city of Santiago de Cuba. She has since traveled there multiple times, most recently on 30 July, to bring him food and personal hygiene items, but each time has been blocked from speaking to or seeing him. A group of pastors in Santiago also attempted to visit the pastor, but they were denied entrance to the facility.

The treatment of Carballo by the Castroit regimes has been cruel, he has been held incommunicado. He has not been charge of any crimes so far. His family have been denied any contact with him The regime violent response to protests and the mass detentions and summary trials of peaceful protestors are a violation of human rights.

In 2016 Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) recorded 2,380 separate violations of freedom of religion or belief under the Castroit regime. Of those, over 2,000 included the whole church congregations. About 200 involved arrest of women groups to prevent them from attending Mass. The brutal and public strategies used by the Castroit regime has continued throughout 2017. These include arbitrary arrests, beatings, demolishing places of worship and confiscation of charge property.

The godbotherers would suck that up about perceived persecution but I'll bet there's more to that story.
The pastor is just another fraudulent charlatan taking the gullibles money.

Campaign urges public to email Cuban ambassador to the UK calling for release of imprisoned pastor
Campaign urges public to email Cuban ambassador to the UK calling for release of imprisoned pastor - CSW
15 Sep 2021

A new campaign by CSW is calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Cuban Protestant Pastor Lorenzo Rosales Fajardo, who has been detained without trial for over two months following the peaceful protests that emerged across Cuba on 11 July.

Pastor Rosales Fajardo was detained by State Security officers on 11 July during peaceful protests in Palma Soriano, and was transferred to the Boniato Maximum Security Prison outside the city of Santiago de Cuba in August. He faces charges including ‘disrespect’ and ‘public disorder’ which carry a prison sentence of between three and 20 years. He has not been allowed visits from his wife and has only been permitted a few three-minute phone calls with his family. He has been held incommunicado for most of his detention.

His wife, Maridilegnis Carballo, has been told that the couple’s 17-year-old son, who was arrested with his father but later released, will face repercussions if she continues to speak out about her husband’s plight. She has also been threatened with imprisonment herself for speaking to international human rights organisations about her husband’s unjust detention.

Decree 35 makes it clear that the Castroit Communist regime would not allow any kind of dissent on the island. Cubans will be unable to comment on the reality of their lives without fear of being charged with cyberterrorism. Religious associations and leaders who speak out on issues that affect freedom of religion or belief are included too.

CSW delivered a 2070-signature petition calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Cuban Protestant Pastor Lorenzo Rosales Fajardo to the Cuban Embassy in London on 30 September.

Pastor Rosales Fajardo has been detained without trial for over two months following the peaceful protests that emerged across Cuba on 11 July. He is currently being held in the Boniato Maximum Security Prison outside of Santiago de Cuba, and he has been prevented from receiving visits from his wife and family.

The pastor’s wife, Maridilegnis Carballo, and his son who was initially detained at the same time as him, have also been threatened with repercussions if Ms Carballo continues to speak out about her husband’s detention.

CSW’s Head of Advocacy Anna-Lee Stangl said: “CSW continues to stand with the family of Pastor Lorenzo Rosales Fajardo as they wait for this husband and father to be returned home. We hope that this petition will send an important message to the Cuban authorities that the world is watching them and that their treatment of Pastor Rosales Fajardo is wholly unacceptable. Once again we urge the international community to hold Cuba to account for its violations of human rights, and to press the Cuban government for Pastor Rosales Fajardo’s immediate and unconditional release at every opportunity.”

The pastor has been practically kept incommunicated with his family, with whom he has only been allowed a few three-minute phone calls. His wife has not been allowed to visit him. He faces charges for “disrespect” and “public disorder,” which each carry sentence of 3 or more years.

Cuban authorities have threatened Pastor Alain Toledano Valiente, a prominent leader in the unregistered Apostolic Movement who leads the Emmanuel Church in Santiago de Cuba, with a pending criminal investigation and have subjected him to continued harassment.

On the morning of 4 October, two policemen and an investigator arrived at the church and informed the property owner that they were there to ‘reconstruct the facts’ at the scene of the ‘crime’ in light of the pending criminal charges against the pastor.

Although they did not present a warrant, the police entered the property and spent two hours measuring and making drawings despite the protests of the property owner. The police reportedly described Pastor Toledano Valiente as a simple criminal and said he would be tried and convicted.

Machado Lazo informed Radio Martí that many members of the church have been notified in recent days for their frontal position towards the regime.

Religious leaders across Cuba are reportedly being targeted by their government in an effort to dissuade them from participating or supporting peaceful protests planned for 15 November.

Since October, Protestant and Catholic leaders have been issued with summons by police and State Security and have been subjected to interrogation focused on their position regarding the 15 November protests. Some freedom of religion or belief (FoRB) defenders have been placed under house arrest over the past week, while others have been interrogated regarding their opinion on the protests.

The protests are scheduled to take place on Monday 15 November, and have been organized by a group of young activists and artists called Archipiélago following an government crackdown which has been ongoing since spontaneous protests spread across the island on 11 July. The group requested official permission to conduct “a civic march for change” in September. Their request was rejected and the government launched a campaign to discredit the organizers, accusing them of being backed by the United States government.

The targeting of religious leaders is part of a wider strategy by the Castroit tyrannical regime to stop the 15 November protests from taking place. Human rights defenders, pro-democracy activists, independent journalists and artists have reported similar experiences.

The Castroit tyrannical communist regime has gone all out to suppress the pacific demonstration of the Cuban people of all believes, color, gender and age. This tsunami of the Cuban people is unstoppable. The regime end is approaching and it would be finished in the ash heap of history.

The family of Reverend Lorenzo Rosales Fajardo, a Cuban Protestant pastor who has been detained without trial since July, was informed on 3 December that his trial will take place on 7, 8 or 9 December. The family has been informed that the government is seeking to impose a 10-year prison sentence.

The authorities initially indicated on 3 December that the trial would be held on 8 December, however, later the same day they communicated that it could take place anytime over the three-day period from 7 to 9 December. The family was not told where the pastor’s trial will take place, but trials of other individuals detained in relation to the 11 July protests have been conducted in the prisons where they were held, making monitoring the processes impossible.

Over 2,000 people signed a petition, calling on his release. Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) delivered the 2070-signature to the Cuban Embassy in London on 30 September.

“More eggs against my parish house in Vertientes, again in my absence. This time many more than last time, (they calculate about ten) although now without the note of “Gusano Asqueroso” that they left me on that occasion”, denounced this Saturday on his social networks the Catholic priest Rolando Montes de Oca.

In January 2021, the cleric was one of the Cuban priests who wrote the open letter “I have seen the affliction of my people”, a letter that criticizes the prevailing corruption and inequality in Cuba and advocates for political changes. Since then he has been harassed and threatened for his position on numerous occasions.

“I have to repeat it: it doesn’t frighten me, it doesn’t make me hate inside, it doesn’t discourage me either. I don’t know who did it, I don’t care. I don’t know if they would be the same ones who have spent these months denigrating me, inventing slander about me in the people or pressuring my friends and collaborators to leave me alone. I don’t know if they are the ones who say, because they want to, that sooner rather than later I will escape from Cuba. I don’t know if they are those or others, I don’t care. Who throws eggs , slander or hatred in any way will be like everyone welcome to the Church, which is the house of EVERYONE, especially sinners. For my part, I have much to offer from God, “he wrote on his social networks after the most recent aggression.
