‘Worse Than We Imagined’: Team Trump Left Biden a COVID Nightmare

“What we’re inheriting from the Trump administration is so much worse than we could have imagined,” Jeff Zients, the Biden administration’s COVID-19 czar, said in a call with reporters Wednesday. “We don't have the visibility that we would hope to have into supply and allocations.”
...
But as White House officials begin to strategize on how best to remedy the situation they are finding that the foundation on which the Trump administration built its vaccine distribution program is more flawed than previously understood, according to two individuals involved with vaccine planning. From the accounting to the way vaccines are allocated and scheduled for delivery—the system doesn’t allow for the quick movement of vaccines off the manufacturing line to state vaccine distribution points, those officials said.

===========
Never be surprised that when we elect people that have a core ideology that the federal government can't do no good, the federal government does no good.

Hopefully, the Biden team, that was cut out of Covid cooperation with the old administration, can build a coordinated system of vaccine distribution.

Unless Biden improves COVID stats and unemployment to pre-pandemic levels in the next 5 minutes, the rabid RW will be all over him for failing to do what he promised.

and how many other sections of the Government has the Biden team been kept out of, wonder how the Military dept is going, or almost every other dept of Government
I guess this is what the Trump team called co-operation in the transition.
and I am sure the people on the right will be saying things about Biden because he didn't get a good start and has to learn things for themselves that the Trump team should have let them know
Have a nice day

And, ironically, they put us in this mess.

Hopefully this is good news. We have leadership now. An organized coordinated effort should speed things up.

Unsurprising in 2 ways:

That is entirely possible to be true AND

entirely possible to be exactly what they would say no matter how it was left.

It sounds like a new football coach taking over a program that wants some leeway into how they perform, "well you know, we don't have what we hoped to have so give us some time to fix it all"

What the heck Biden doesn't have this fixed YET
He has been in office 21 hours already, when is he going to get something done?
Have a nice day

But isn't that exactly what Trump planned? If Trump was a man who actually took his oath of office seriously and if he had any shred of decency, he would have worked hard to control the pandemic by getting the vaccine produced and having a concise plan as to how to distribute it. There's two components to a vaccine plan, Trump was only concerned with one in order to get more votes in the election. The production of a vaccine hasn't really been the most difficult challenge, distribution of the vaccine has always been the complicated part.

Essentially, Trump did nothing at all personally to address the pandemic. I repeat, nothing. Trump had a pandemic team and he laid the responsibility at their feet. They were responsible for anything that had been accomplished. Trump only encouraged the spread of the disease with his ego rallies and Rose Garden jamborees. He never encouraged masks, social distancing, hand washing, etc. Sure, after we were already in the crisis phase he was told by his handlers that he'd better get to a microphone and tell people that a mask was recommended. He never led by example and even worse, destroyed the discourse regarding social distancing and mask wearing by throwing massive rallies, three in one day right before the election. People at these rallies were not wearing masks and everyone was shouting in each other's faces. Just days before the election, with the pandemic breaking death records ever day, he still stood on a stage and complained "Covid covid covid -- covid covid COVID!! You'll see, on Nov 4th nobody will be talking about covid."

We'll find out soon enough just how badly Trump fumbled the ball on a whole host of issues, not only the pandemic.

No need to deflect from Trump's failures with baseless speculation.

I was kind of hoping the fear mongering, anonymous sources and blame games would end with Trump. But instead its just more of the same. Instead of leadership we get the same old find someone to blame stories instead of just shut up and fixing it.

" according to two individuals involved with vaccine planning "

Instead of both sidesing this, why not just apply Occam's razor?
It is more likely to be true than some sort of Democratic game-plan.
It is highly likely the Biden Admin won't have to make stuff up to look better than the previous admin.

This news is obviously totally fake news because Dr. Fauci slightly corrected himself 6 months ago. Scientists don't know nutthin. MAGA 2021

Speaking of speculation, I didn't mention Trump at all (and I am definitely no Trumpist)

I did notice you deflected from answering the question though, do you, or do you not feel it is good policy to base representation on non citizens?

That sounds like Trump's entire 4 years.

Someone needs to find out where the money went. I'll give you two guesses on who stole it.

When they inherit a team that went 0-64 over 4 years the claim of the new coach that he inherited a mess is valid.

Well...when the shoe fits, put the ****er on. Trump was a fool and a crook. It's time his cult grows up and become adults.

Where did you see bothsiding? There is only one side, politicians (and they all do it, every time)
