"Target has been celebrating Pride Month for more than a decade. But this year’s collection has led to an increase in confrontations between customers and employees and incidents of Pride merchandise being thrown on the floor, Target spokesperson Kayla Castaneda said.

Target’s action comes on the heels of a conservative backlash against Bud Light after brewer Anheuser-Busch promoted the beer on social media with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

While various Pride Collection products were under review, the only ones being immediately removed were the LGBTQ brand Abprallen, which has come under scrutiny for its association with the British designer Eric Carnell.

Carnell has faced social media backlash for designing merchandise with images of pentagrams, horned skulls and other symbols."

Will our right-wing friends reveling in the hateful backlash towards businesses showing support for the LGBTQ community realize that it promotes threats of violence, and thus have second thought about it?

Probably not. Seems political violence is increasingly acceptable to them.

Somebody is MAGA butthurt because LGBT people exist openly.

Is it too early or too obvious to predict that some right wing nutjob will go postal in a Target store in June?

This sort of is only going to become more common as MAGA realizes more and more that their ideology isn't popular with regular people and they have to experience the realization that this country doesn't see things the way they do on a fundamental level, especially as the boomers age out of the population and the younger generations see through their BS culture war stuff.

I hope that Target has a policy of no guns in the store.

Society is changing to adapt to the realities of the 21sy century and there is nothing that MAGAites can do to slow it down or stop it and they are outraged that the social structure of the 1950s isn't going to return.

Every time someone folds to right wing street violence we step closer to the paramilitary phase of our transition to autocracy.

("But, but, bee-ell-emm" will surely follow, so pass meet head off: 90+ % peaceful protest, and the goal is not intimidation, it's inclusion to survive.)

It may not seem directly related, but it is. They (the authoritarian conservatives) mean what they say about what they want to do:

It would be nice if we could all just be a little more nicer about these things, and of course take the conversation away from politicians making this entirely worse.

That is equally true to ‘folding to’ left-wing political violence.

What sorts? And with which corporate and political backers? In what percentages? And in what ratio to right wing terrorism and street violence? Backed up by which foreign-owned media giants? Defended on which networks?

Are we going to have to shoe-horn in every Native pipeline protest, school walk out and union strike to achieve some sort of false parity with conservative authoritarian street violence?

Right-wingers opposing the LBGTQ community and Republican legislatures passing laws against them contribute to violence directed at this community and their allies.

So many words to try to ‘justify’ political violence which you happen to agree with.

This is nothing new. Conservatives resist change. They were against freeing the slaves; they were against women getting the vote; they resisted blacks getting civil rights; they were against gay marriage, etc.

My father called liberals progressives and conservatives regressives, because they wanted to go back to a time when white men rules and women were in the kitchen bare foot and pregnant.

Right on cue, Texas Republicans passed this:

Violence, the language of the inarticulate.
Perhaps, but not always so since it's sometimes the only language that's commonly understood unfortunately. I say this in the context of human history, and how many of the major changes and advancements had to include violence in a variety of scales to make any headway.
:(

MLK and Gandhi would disagree.
