˜Default of Their Pledge’: Trump Blames RNC for Getting Booed at Debate

Re: Trump 3rd Party

That wouldn't be the least bit surprising and it would guarantee either a felon or a socialist for our next president.

Re: Trump 3rd Party

The Republican establishment has been trying to stack the deck against Trump. All they have to do is remain neutral and there won't be a problem. The GOP establishment keeps trying to cut Trump off at the knees and if they keep doing it, then things will backfire. I don't see why they GOP has such a rage-boner against Trump. He's going to need advisors, cabinet recommendations and general cronies. The GOP is going to wind up cutting off their nose to spite the face if they keep up their shenanigans. The people who support Trump hate what the establishment in the GOP represents and they will vote independent for him.

Re: Trump 3rd Party

Donald Trump running as a third party independent would be manna sent from heaven above and Christmas come early wrapped in a hot apple pie on the Fourth of July watching the worlds best fireworks show with a frisky Playboy centerfold at your side. Please let this happen.

Re: Trump 3rd Party

Trump is using these "threats" as leverage. He is right that he is not being treated fairly and rightly believes that he should be treated fairly. As long as he is on a solid path to winning the Republican nomination there is NO WAY he jumps to being an independent. Why would he go from being a sure shot of winning the nomination to going to a huge underdog independent status? Now, if the unfairness is successful and he's no longer on a path to win the nomination, then I say he bolts.

Re: Trump 3rd Party

I think the RNC will cave and will apologize to him...but it won't make a difference. When it comes right down to it, the only thing that'll hurt Trump is...1) Supporters of drop-out candidates going to anyone but Trump...and...2) Trump's own mouth.

On the one hand, if Trump doesn't increase his percentages as other candidates drop out he will eventually get passed by whichever candidate is left to stand against him. On the other hand, when he says dumbass stuff like this GW Bush stuff, it does nothing except give the RNC, their media buddies and the other candidates something to hit Trump over the head with.

If Trump does go 3rd Party...and I'm not so sure he's serious about doing that...he knows the Democrats will win. I can see him using that as a threat against the RNC, but I cannot see him actually doing it.

We have already had felons for president. It has become our style, it seems.

As for Trump, what does he expect when he tells a bunch of republicans that the 911 story is not quite accurate? They are insecure and defensive about that subject.

Regardless, we're likely guaranteed a felon or a democratic socialist as the next president.

Interventionism backfiring!!?? Never!

Jumping the gun on the first, correct on the second and yes Trump running as an Inde would guarantee a win for the Dems, which would be Trumps revenge if not nominated, would it not put it past him to exactly that.

And assure a Democrat wins the Whitehouse and possible regain the Senate. Talk about cutting off ones nose to spite their face:doh

It could be that Trump makes the Republicans look like a bunch of whiny, petty, rich guys...ok even MORE like a bunch of whiny, petty, rich guys...
Unfortunately, they probably need him more than he needs them. Which says something about the state of the GOP to begin with.
I would hate for him to be the face of the independents.

Seriously? The guy's platform is schoolyard bully and then he gets upset when he is boo'd or when a media spokesperson asks him awkward questions.
I would think someone who has been in business as long as he has would have grown a pair by now.

I agree here except for the part about his mouth. It seems the more ignorant his sound bite the higher his approval. That may not hold up right until election day but I'm not sure it won't either...

Re: Trump 3rd Party

First, Trump disputing 9 11 is just good sense. Second, Trump stating there were no WMDs involved in the Iraq invasion is just good sense. Third, acknowledging the TORTURE as a good thing acknowledges the torture and that is just good sense. He has taken a dump on the NEOCON's policies and that is just good sense. That is the only reason Third Party is in play in the discussion. I think the NEOCONS better swallow the turd if they want another Big Money/Big Military/Big Coprorate goombah in the White House. I won't vote for Trump, but , at least he can see the truth and talk about it. That's shows some strength of character.

Re: Trump 3rd Party

It is pathetic to watch Trump whine about not being treated fair by the RNC. If Trump cant handle that, he will never be able to deal with Congress. And if he does get the nomination then he is going to be in a world of hurt dealing with the attacks from the Left and the media, when they dig into him. And if he goes as Independent then the Right will shred him as well. By the end (if he continues to cry about such things) he might be hospitalized.

While that may be partly true, fairness is still fairness. When you stack the audience with nothing but donors, knowing that Trump has no donors because he is self funding his campaign, that is unfair. It is done on purpose to have a negative audience against Trump so that it comes across over TV land to the tuning in voters in a negative Trump way, helping the other candidates and purposely trying to undercut Trump's campaign. That is not fair and he has every right to call them out on it.

Re: Trump 3rd Party

I'd like to see Hillary versus Rubio with Bloomberg and Trump going as third and fourth parties.

Let 'er rip, tater chip!

Even if Trump does not get the nomination........Trump always wins.............Look for a third party run insuring a HC win...........and a Trump gets a payback win

He could not win the election and paybacks at the expense of the Nation is the epitome of a spoiled child's actions, which of-course is very fitting when it comes to The Donald.

He isn't going to do anything. This is his way of getting the RNC to modify their behavior.

Extortion? Yeup, he has already pull that trick out a couple of times during the primaries.

Well that's how Donald plays ball.........there are countless examples of Trump using the courts to bankrupt opponents........or cause them so much pain they wish they never knew him..............of those who thought they had "won".............

It's the Trump Method

BTW

The RNC has no control over the candidates....and has little to no way to sanction them for "bad" behavior......and Trump know that.......... Making the RNC the "bad guy"............or appearing impotent ....which they are in these matters

True, so long as they are only candidates, if in office there are many things they can do to makes ones life miserable. Meaning IF Trump somehow got into office he would not only have a problem dealing with the Dems in Congress but also the Repubs, not a good scenario for any President.

True. I have not seen an election that I had less enthusiasm for, this voting for the lesser of evils thing is hitting as new low in 2016. Beginning to think an Irish Wake for the Once Great Nation is beginning to sound more appropriate.
