    Is E=mc2 A Liberal Conspiracy?

They seem to think it's serious. It's the "conservative" version of wikipedia. Supposedly. Did you check out their project rewriting the Bible? It just doesn't get any funnier than this.

Regarding Hiring, Should Companies be able to Check your Credit?

Choicepoint was purchased in 2008 by the company that owns and operates LexisNexis - it is now known as LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Their most touted employment screening package? A behavioral prediction online quiz that takes 5-8 minutes to complete and delivers nothing but a single score, and...

Regarding Hiring, Should Companies be able to Check your Credit?

I agree with Noodle that companies have too much power over our lives already. And the credit bureaus (all of them defined as credit reporting agencies under FCRA, not just the Big Three that keep track of whether you pay your bills but the dozens of others providing everything from private...

Who is treated worse, Obama or GW Bush?

Somebody introduces legislation like this among dozens of other crazy perennials every session, is this supposed to be a grand conspiracy to lay at Obama's door now? He's not all that, but he's not responsible for every dumb thing done by anybody associated with government either. What media...

Birthers Move Over and Make Way for Thirteenthers

Universal idiocies are like universal truths that way. Regardless of party, it's just that obvious.

Who is treated worse, Obama or GW Bush?

Actually if Obama is being treated worse, it's probably because every new PR shocker from a partisan blogger, every new low blow that gets more hits than the last one, lowers the bar for what passes for political debate that much more. We're racing to the bottom.

Don't give them any ideas!!

Who is treated worse, Obama or GW Bush?

Compared to Bush at the same point in his Presidency, Obama is getting much worse. But overall? It seems about the same. Different players, same old game.

Birthers Move Over and Make Way for Thirteenthers

No, the Nobel wouldn't fall under the original 13th. But look at the language. I'm not sure it's specific enough to be construed as amending Art 1 Sec 9 Cl 3 as it reads. But the Iowa Republicans' platform is to ratify the original 13th as-is. Any changes or additional language and they'd...

    Do nice people finish last?

Oh, I think most of the ladies grow out of the bad boy phase right about the time they realize they're not really immortal. ;) Nice might take more patience but it tends to win for the long haul.

    Do nice people finish last?

It depends what game they're playing, doesn't it? We don't all live by the same rules or value the same things. Maybe "nice" people actually do finish first in the ways that matter to them.

Birthers Move Over and Make Way for Thirteenthers

It is if you don't know how to spell or use a dictionary. I wonder exactly who their audience is with this? They must think it will get them somewhere with some target group?

Birthers Move Over and Make Way for Thirteenthers

I think that would be a matter of application and interpretation for the Courts to decide. Honestly, I can see an argument either way. But it's irrelevant. It'll never happen. And somebody should check into what the Iowa Republicans are smoking.

Is it unamerican to revolt against the United States Government?

I agree with you on standing up to preserve our ideals by nonviolent means, although I'm willing to bet we don't agree on exactly what those ideals are. Which is also very American. ;) But something you said intrigues me. Under what circumstances would you consider a bloody revolt to be...

Is it unamerican to revolt against the United States Government?

You have a good point here. Are we talking revolution by lawful and peaceful means, or armed insurrection? One is very much American. The other....by definition if you're advocating violent overthrow of the nation, I'd say you're probably against it.

Is it unamerican to revolt against the United States Government?

We tried a confederation. It lasted less than a decade before it was clear it wouldn't work and the Constitutional Congress was called. Why? Because you can't have one person trying to walk multiple dogs, all bigger than the human, stronger than the human and determined to spend half their time...

Is it unamerican to revolt against the United States Government?

Articles of Confederation? You're more than 220 years late on that one. And the Articles of Confederation had nothing remotely similar to our Bill of Rights attached.

Should Shirley Sherrod sue Fox News and Andrew Breitbart for their lies?

What was done to her was unethical, but honestly I'm not sure she would have a case. And even in these kinds of disgusting cases I'm hesitant to advocate placing limits on the press. For the most part they're dumbed down power hungry snuggle buddies with whomever will appeal most to their target...

    How would you define God?

I can't define god. God or whatever you want to call him/her/it is by definition beyond human definition, understanding and ability to label it and put it in a neat little box. I do believe god or whatever term you want to use gave humans intelligence and curiosity for a purpose, that we will...

Can a conservative woman be a feminist?

I consider myself a feminist. I shave, I wear a bra, I wear cute but painful shoes on occasion, I enjoy being in the company of men. I simply feel I should have the right to own my own life and my own decisions, that I can be my own person and should be respected for that alone independent of my...
