    Rhodes is guilty

You mean if 5 people are charged and tried for committing a crime together, and one person is acquitted, they rest aren't all automatically acquitted? ;)

What are the psychological characteristics of people holding far-right beliefs?

You may have stumbled into the wrong thread. This one is premised upon the purported attributes of the far right. And while it's true the fringe on either side of the spectrum may share various characteristics, it's a logical fallacy to suggest sharing certain attributes means they are "just the...

    Trump loses in court...again.

Prosecuting winnable cases on their merits is Garland's job and that coincides with the best interests of the country. We are not dealing with a trivial infraction of some arcane laws. And I totally disagree that Trump running or not running should have any consideration. That makes the whole...

    Trump loses in court...again.

Really looking forward to the responses from all the Trumper's who back in August were crowing about what a big deal this was that Trump got a special master appointed via a Judge he appointed to the bench. Ignoring the arguments from the rest of us that this issue was simply that the District...

Which group is more guilty of a coup attempt?

This premise of this thread has to be the dumbest of all false equivalences I've read on this board. And there have been some whoppers. Even worse than that, a false equivalence when one of the two premises being compared is a complete fabrication.

Which group is more guilty of a coup attempt?

Proving fact; no dispute, huh? Well then you should have no trouble citing what specifically was censored, how it was censored and who in the government supposedly did so. Not conjecture; facts. Who; what; and how.

What are the psychological characteristics of people holding far-right beliefs?

Perhaps you are describing what you want or believe the average right winger believes. This thread is about the far right and virtually every attribute mentioned is dead on accurate as to the far right. BTW- the current "right" does not want change, gradual or otherwise. Unless by change, you...

    daily chuckle double

Totally agree. Admitting mistakes past or present is a sign of abject weakness. What we need is a president who f's up constantly but claims victory even when they do. That's the mark of a real leader.

42 Biden Admin Officials Put On Notice By House Republicans

And the republican leadership works to boost the democrats' chances in the 2024 election cycle right out of the gate! Awesome. They apparently learned nothing from the recent midterms.

What are the psychological characteristics of people holding far-right beliefs?

Can't wait to see the responses from the far right. I'm sure in their mind these traits perfectly describe everyone on the left- not even the far left, everyone left.

If january the sixth had been successful, what do you suppose the government would have functioned like after they tossed all the dems?

Not sure how you can suggest the rioters had nothing to do with the Eastman plan. Step 1 of that plan was having Pence not certify the electoral votes. A multitude, if not all of the rioters knew this. The hang Mike Pence chants, the mock gallows, the text from Trump to the rioters about Pence...

Some migrants (bused by Greg Abbott to Philly) arrive with no shoes

In first with: Fake news; and/or It's time sanctuary cities started sharing the burden of their policy; and/or None of this would happen if but for Biden's open borders policy.

The EU (Twitter's biggest customer base) threatens to ban Twitter unless they abide by their laws (content moderation, etc)

Some of their rules seem a bit too far based upon what measuring stick? As has been pointed out by others, we as Americans can't superimpose onto other countries what we believe to be reasonable in America.

If january the sixth had been successful, what do you suppose the government would have functioned like after they tossed all the dems?

Doubtful many of the folks you are referring to read Lord of the Flies so I don't think they are going to get the reference.

    OUCH. That's an ugly thought.

Stock market soars to new bull market. Republicans praise Biden for it. One of those two is correct.

Well, #1 has to be true for #2 to even be possibly true. So I'm going with #1?

Biden is a genius! Gas in my neighborhood is about to hit three bucks a gallon. I think his mental hold over the entire industry is starting to work.

None. I'm not one of those claiming that the downturn in price has been due to his policies. And I think the OP was in jest suggesting Biden must be a genius. Much like my thoughts on the economy in general: I believe a president's impact on gas prices, in the short term, are usually minimal.

Biden is a genius! Gas in my neighborhood is about to hit three bucks a gallon. I think his mental hold over the entire industry is starting to work.

Perhaps I don't understand the definition of gainsaying. To me, pointing out that you have not provided evidence/support for your affirmative claim, is not gainsaying. Could Biden's policies as to approving pipelines eventually have an impact on oil prices? Yes. Could his comments/approach to...

Young People Made It Clear: Abortion Rights Must Be Codified

What ballot? The states can put it up for a vote if they choose to, but the republican controlled state legislatures will be sure to prevent that from happening because they would lose. What you seem to be implying is a constitutional amendment- at least if you want a nationwide protected...

    Rhodes is guilty

Agreed and as JNug laid out, the obstruction of official proceeding charges seems particularly strong.
