NC Sheriff new security measures - locking up AR's inside school for officers

12ga is great in close quarters but I imagine storming a classroom there would be a higher chance for collateral damage using buckshot that would override the potential for over penetration.

NC Sheriff new security measures - locking up AR's inside school for officers

Google wasn't able to translate that but I think you're saying AR15s are just like any other gun? The value of the AR platform is that it can be setup specifically for a given situation - such as the inside of a school. This provides the user with a powerful round in a customizable package...

NC Sheriff new security measures - locking up AR's inside school for officers

That comes down to each individual. Not all are built equally and some will not take immediate, aggressive action as we saw in TX. You can train to the cows come home but you won't know for sure until you're in it. I think the safe on campus is just another resource that will require...

NC Sheriff new security measures - locking up AR's inside school for officers

Keep in mind, this is not the bush; no officer is carrying a Rem 700 in the trunk unless they are a sniper for swat and it's definitely not the proper tool for inside a school. In my area, every officer I know has some sort of semi-auto rifle with most being AR style. I don't believe it's the...

NC Sheriff new security measures - locking up AR's inside school for officers

I can't believe this is so hard. Yes, police are equipped with and carry their service pistol and almost always a smaller backup pistol. The guns being proposed for the safes are the same guns they already carry in their cars. School officers are not walking around with a slung rifle so...

What is the rationale behind forgiving $250 billion in student debt?

No doubt. My generation of parenting has failed miserably IMO.

NC Sheriff new security measures - locking up AR's inside school for officers

I'm aware of bear spray and its lack of incapacitation and have already stated as much. Having a safe with an AR and some ammo is hardly an arsenal. It is a cache, staging point or whatever you prefer to call it. Once again, this is merely an option for an officer to access a more powerful...

What is the rationale behind forgiving $250 billion in student debt?

I wish. But the same people who are struggling with paying their student debt are likely the ones who struggle in general making good life decisions. And I fear they are starting to outnumber the rest.

What is the rationale behind forgiving $250 billion in student debt?

Yes, the taxpayers lose more than they gain.

What is the rationale behind forgiving $250 billion in student debt?

    Short answer: Votes.

    America's future

Lol. I have never heard of the national debt being explained as an imaginary concept. Are you’re going to tell me my personal debt and the basics of budgeting are imaginary too.

Why Cheney will lose big time, a poll showed that only 16% of those in her state believe Biden won the election and is the true president

I think it’s awesome that voters have the ability to boot out those in office that don’t reflect their views. She rolled the political dice and lost. God bless the USA.

    Palin, Oy

On most days I agree. Confession - when I saw the first two posts this is the scene that immediately popped into my head.

I truly had no idea there were different positions to pony tails and that they were frowned upon in certain areas.

    America's future

Well, the number one priority right now in America is the economy. If that fails in a big way, then we are truly in for bad times. This poll is more of a sociopolitical perspective.

    America's future

Why in the world would you attack him for a very sane response? National debt should be the concern of every country. The fact that economics is not even mentioned in this poll is very telling.

In this case, there are no bears inside classrooms in the lower 48. I personally would never use it where you live but inside an enclosed space it would certainly have an effect on a human. As I stated earlier, it would be better than nothing, but a firearm is still the best option when...

What will become of Liz Cheney?

Spinelessness in D.C. is a long and distinguished line. I view her as a politician that has been surrounded by politics virtually her whole life. She viewed these hearings as a way to catapult herself even further not out of some altruistic position that she portrays. She miscalculated.

Why Cheney will lose big time, a poll showed that only 16% of those in her state believe Biden won the election and is the true president

Yep, isn't it awesome that we have individual states that get to elect representatives that reflect their values and beliefs? Apparently, Cheney no longer does and will likely be shown the door. I just wonder what state she will relocate to should she lose.
