    First of all, the lowest age of consent within the United States is 16 years old. Second the difference between marrying a child and two adults marrying is consent. A child cannot consent (neither can an animal if we want to bring up the bestiality argument), two adult males or females can consent.

    A more effective and peaceful method would be stop doing things that piss off terrorists in the first place, such as fighting an endless war in the Middle East and propping up corrupt and oppressive regimes in places like Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

    I say that it is not the governments job to say what two consenting adults can or cannot do, or decide what "marriage" should be in the first place.
