I can't find any decent colleges in smaller cities

This one has probably already been mentioned by now, but University of Utah is in Salt Lake City, which it's self only has about 200,000 people. The surrounding towns bring that total up somewhat, but it remains a fairly small town environment.

Tibet: anti-Chinese rule protests spread to other areas

It was actually Lord Amherst durring the French and Indian War who did it. Amherst was the commander of the Brittish forces durring the F&I War. But, of course the F&I War was 1756 to 1763...so the US never used smallpox contaiminated blankets as far as I know, it was the Brits.

    Domestic Drilling & Energy Security

I can see domestic oil drilling as part of the solution to make us less dependant on other countries, but that sort of misses two points. The first is that we live in a global market, where things are constantly moved between all the countries of the world. If we're not dependant on other...

    I want one of these!

Wow, that is so cool. The problem is though, that even if the EU adopts it on a large scale it will take forever before the US even considers it worthy of notice.

Dartmouth Professor Wants To Sue . . .

Dartmouth Professor Wants To Sue . . .

Hrrm. On one hand if the students went too far I can see what the Prof. is saying. I mean, it's possible that she was harassed by her students and in that case Dartmouth had a duty to handle the harassment appropriately. It's also possible the Prof. is full of ****. Who knows?

    Federal Reserve

I didn't mean that they couldn't, or haven't, but that the system is set up to make it difficult.

    Federal Reserve

To answer the second part of your question, No, the Fed system is set up so that it isn't under any of our notoriously corrupt politicians. The Reserve has it's own income, and thus doesn't depend on congress to fund it, and while the President chooses the Chairmen of the Fed Board of Goveners...

What is wrong w/ Nuclear Power?

Nuclear waste creates mutants = The X-Men comics come true. I mean is there a more obvious answer here? But, seriously, there are other power sources that don't involve all of the problems that Nuclear power does, why not invest in them?
