Should gays be beaten up ?

What the hell? Is this a serious poll? No, of course no. It is entirely beyond me why anyone would even ponder whether someone "should" be beaten up.

Do you support Cindy Sheehan's antics in protesting the war in Iraq?

Do I support her 'antics'? Well, barring her little State of the Union escapade, yes, I do support the concept of protesting a war. I thought that was partially what democracy was founded on? The ability to protest things? Now, whether I support her STANCE is another story.

    Brokeback Mountain

Oki doki. :P Seperate but equal was a concept that was struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court when you all were still squabbling about slavery and Black people. They (scotus?) decided that it wasn't Constitutional to give an institution that was "seperate but equal" because that was never true...

Hamas wins majority in parliamentary elections

Hahaha... this is depressing and enlightening all at once. The Israelis were "nice" enough to give these people some land. For them, this should mean: wow! We have a chance to finance hospitals, schools, sanitation, industry. But wait! Before we do this, we should elect a Parliament. Then, in...

    Brokeback Mountain

Vlagh. As dandy as civil unions are, EVERYONE would have to have a civil union. Ever heard of "seperate but equal"? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Separate_but_equal EDIT: oopsie, weird linky.

Canadians likely to throw out scandal plagued Liberal Government......

Wow. Dude. Navy Pride, get over it. Gay marriage isn't going anywhere, because it's a minority government and Harper doesn't have a majority. I've already posted on this. I hope I put that in terms simple enough for you. On an unrelated note, what is up with your infatuation with same sex...

    Conservatives win Canadian elections!

Heh, you people got it all wrong. The explanation provided at the start of the thread about how our government works is wrong. See, our country is divided up into areas called Ridings. In each riding, each political party runs a candidate. Then, on Election Day, voters choose which candidate...

Are gay people born that way or is it a choice?

My (admittedly uneducated) p.o.v. is that you are born somewhere on the Kinsey Scale of Sexuality, either "gay" or "straight" and then you sort of act on that in puberty, and slowly move along the scale until you're gay, or you're straight. Or you... don't really move along it, and stay around...

    Is Homosexuality Considered Abnormal?

Yes, homosexuality is abnormal because most people are not homosexual. Therefore, it is not the norm(al). However, people with curly blonde hair are also not the norm, so they too are abnormal. And so on and so forth! So, it doesn't really make a difference whether or not it's "abnormal"...

    if you're Iran

But that wouldn't change the fact that some crazy people got some biiiig bombs.

    On that note, who cares?

    Taxes...

    1. I support the idea of the government taking care of everyone because obviously, some people cannot take care of themselves. 2. No, I would not, because I know how harsh people can be. That wouldn't work because I would venture that most people are not generous enough to support someone else...

    Sorry, Pakistan

    1. Bad guys that you were after? Have you ID'd any of them? Were any of them criminals? This is why the police can't normally just storm into someone's house and arrest them, then afterwards check and see if they're evil. 2. If someone lives next to a drug dealer, that doesn't make them drug...

    Abortion

Hm... good question. In that case, I'd have to reevaluate my beliefs. Right now, I meant more without technology... as in the fetus has everything necessary to try and survive on its own, but either can or simply cannot. Did that make any sense?

    Taxes...

That isn't what I'm after with social programs. I can pay for my own food, and I don't mind contributing 40 or 50 percent of my paycheque to help someone else eat. :) More the fact that not only am I being cared for, but that other people are being cared for too. I guess it boils down to what...
