    If you had read my posts on this subject, you would realize that I recognize that the majority of the population is Unionist and thus support British sovereignty unless at some point in the future a majority wish to reunify with Ireland.

    Are you talking about the Falklands, which was illegally invaded by Argentina, and Grenada in which an illegal coup had taken over the government??? Reagan was requested by neighboring states in the OECS to help out.

    Re: Baroness Thatcher dies, age 87 The majority in Northern Ireland want to remain British. As a Catholic I sympathize with the Catholics there, but not the Catholic terrorists. However, it is the democratically expressed will of the people of Northern Ireland to remain British. I respect that.

    Re: Baroness Thatcher dies, age 87 She was not easy at all with apartheid. She just didn't think that sanctions were constructive. They only hurt the Blacks and others in the working classes. She was right about that. She hated Botha and welcomed DeKlerk as someone who could be worked with.

    What's your opinion on female soldiers?

    If women can meet the same physical standards as men, and not watered-down, I have no problem with it, but do have reservations. This includes the potential difficulty of close foxhole quarters and how to handle personal hygene needs there. However, in the modern military, many such concerns...
