Having read your posts in the Fragile Americans thread, I just wanted to wish you well. I hope your situation changes for the better soon.

Unfortunately, I feel I am unprepared to make such gentle reminders on the topic of Christianity, for which I am woefully uninformed. You were spot on. I will watch to see if he is willing to let people have their beliefs in peace, but he certainly seems the type who wants to "correct" people, for their own good.

I need to drop you a quick note thanking you for taking NGNM85 to task in such an intelligent way, for what seemed to me to be another iteration of "evangelical atheists" as you put it. I am too quick to shout obscenities myself, but that is entirely due to having classified him as a evangelical atheist. Based on my experiences with scourge99 and Cephus, they really burn me.

I am really enjoying our exchanges on reality. Looking forward to exploring that with you, as it is infinitely more interesting to me than Christianity.

I like your take on the world, and found myself in agreement with things I hadn’t considered before. We obviously still disagree on some fundamentals, but just the idea of two people from seemingly extreme opposite sides of the spectrum exchanging their thoughts like that was a great time for me…

Admittedly, when I saw ‘Fascist’ Moderator listed along the bottom of the main page, I tsked, despite having one of the more civil conversations I’ve had here, with you, a couple years back.

I read your ‘about you’ page. Very informative, glad I read it, recommend anyone with an immediate ‘distaste’ to do so also. Surprised how much we have in common – even on some pretty dicey subjects.

I really have no idea what my ‘political label’ would be (nor do I care), but I knew I had some Fascist in me too. If you’re interested in letting me pick your brain a little on these misconceptions you feel exist, and just how ‘Fascist’ are you, PM me.

But really. As a logical, intelligent and rational man. What do you think you really saw? And if you think its an elf, know its an elf, how could they live amongst us on this planet without us knowing it?
I dont doubt your story, or my brothers story (aka metalgear on dp btw), but those are questions we need to answer if what you saw was really a descendent of an elven race.

Its only after he left the forest he realized he never had a chance to look at whatever the elf had inscribed on that tree. And when he comes back from Afghanistan he wants to go back out there.

I dont know what to believe. It would be wrong to believe it an elf, right? How would we not know of there existence and why would they hide from us? How have we not found fossil evidence, or any evidence, that they exist?

It had black hair exactly as you described. When he shun his torch at it my brother said that he never saw anybody react so quickly. He turned his head so fast it took him a moment to realize he actually did it, and he said that he was basically shocked and his heart racing at the awkard thing he saw. It had unusually long ears, but its eye's where a captivating yellow and it was what he believes basically the most beautiful thing he ever saw even though he couldn't distinguish its sex. It basically just ran out of sight, the sound of cracking twigs under its feet dissapeared in an instant. He thought it was hiding but it must have just run extremely fast. My brother tried to follow its track but he lost it.
