‘We’ve never really seen anything like this’: US suicide rates hit 50-year peak

The thing is it's not the lack of awareness that's causing people to want to give up on life, so what do you think it is? The culture? Financial problems? Lack of faith in humanity? And more importantly, can we really do anything about it if people want to end their life?

World’s first gene-edited babies created in China, claims scientist

So who's the twin baby's parents? The scientists who created them? Or are they going to be labeled as orphans? Also, do you think the scientists created these gene edited babies so that they can use them as "human test subjects" for future CRISPR projects or something? I wonder if these babies...

    We have opened Pandora's Box

Gene editing on humans, as in humans that is already living and using the technology to increase longevity or cure a disease. That I understand. But to make gene edited babies, or even gene edit a twin babies? Why? What's their purpose of doing this? And this is not even the real kicker here...

Dimming the sun: The answer to global warming?

This whole "dimming the sun" thing reminds me so much of China's plan on building an artificial sun. Like, I'm not sure this will ever work. Don't you think we're just wasting government funds here that we can use for other projects that will actually help those in need? Besides, who's to say...

What do you and your partner do to spice up your relationship?

Wait, there are couples who actually do this? I mean, no judgment here of course because we're all free to do what we want. It's just that I haven't heard someone do this in real life. But, like, why not try VR porn and try it on with your wife? That way she won't be mad coz you learned it from...

What do you and your partner do to spice up your relationship?

I love this! Especially hearing from someone who is more experienced, and I agree. It's important in a relationship to do everything that will benefit both of you, not just one of you. Because in order for the relationship to work, it should be give and take. Me and my boyfriend does things...

    307 shootings in 311 days

TBH I really don't know. Maybe we shouldn't take the phrase "land of the free" so literally. I mean, what can we do? What do you suppose we should do? Purge every year? Will it even prevent the killings from happening too often? I'm not sure.

More than 50 nations, but not U.S., sign onto cybersecurity pact

I guess this answers why China is having an easier time taking over the AI/technology game and quite frankly, I don't know what does that say about us... or if we're even worse or better than Japan, who recently employed a man that has never opened or held a computer before as head of cybersecurity.

California Wildfire Deadliest In State's History

You know what should NOT be done after the California wildfire? To withhold federal payments! I mean, the state and its residences is already going through a rough road, they surely don't need this right now. They need support especially in rebuilding their homes once all these is over.

Where is China heading with their AI game?

Ever since the news broke that China got the biggest funding for artificial intelligence and technology, they have been announcing futuristic technology since. I guess there's nothing wrong about it. The social credit system, facial recognition, an AI news anchor. After all, we're heading there...

What do you and your partner do to spice up your relationship?

What unconventional ways have you and your partner done to spice up your relationship? Do you guys think that technology, like say virtual reality or even social media can help bring back the spark and spice up a relationship? If not, what do you think is the best way?

More than 50 nations, but not U.S., sign onto cybersecurity pact

Agreed. These three countries don't necessarily need it, especially China, which is currently taking the AI/future technology game very seriously these days. Chances are they have much better cybersecurity than all the 50 nations combined. I mean, China's hackers managed to infiltrate US firms...

    307 shootings in 311 days

You know what, this is somewhat true. How many times have we heard in the news about mass shootings in other countries? Okay, so given that perhaps those happenings just didn't reach the American television, there are still social media where it could be spread. But here in America, it happens...

Is it OK for construction workers to whistle at pretty ladies?

THIS RIGHT HERE. I mean, whether you're being playful or not, it's still not okay to whistle at women. Whether she's "pretty" or not, sexy or not, it's still not okay. It's rude. If a bunch of gay guys whistle at you on the street you'd probably throw a fit and punch them in the face. What will...
