The NRA Should Support the President's Executive Action on Guns

Untold thousands of Americans have died unnecessarily by gun fire. We don't have to tolerate that. Gun propagation serves only the delusions of the gun cult.

    Expand Social Security

All investments are subject to risk. That's why they earn money. SS isn't subject to any risk except political risk and we can control that.

    Expand Social Security

Of course we can say no but that would be foolish. SS has proven to be immensely successful. Americans love it. Only ideological extremists don't.

"Waste" isn't a concern. What you might define as waste is revenue to someone. It adds to economic activity even it if it makes a particular project look overly expensive.

    Expand Social Security

That's just not so. Ponzi schemes rely on fraud. They misrepresent their true nature. SS never has done that. It doesn't promise inordinate returns. It promises a benefit in return for a premium. That's how insurance works.

Efficiency is of no concern. Government must serve the People's need: ...provide for the general welfare.

    Expand Social Security

In what we that be harmful? Giving low-income persons (SS beneficiaries) more to spend would help the economy.

It aint necessarily so - that big-government is bad

I've never seen any evidence of the far left believing the parties are the same. Leftists may believe the Democrats have failed to serve the People but the certainly don't believe their as bad as the Republicans.

The NRA Should Support the President's Executive Action on Guns

Guns are dangerous and a threat to the community. Some persons can't be trusted with them and even the nominally qualified eventually will mishandle them. Their errors will endanger other persons. Government has an obligation to keep the guns under control.

The NRA Should Support the President's Executive Action on Guns

I probably would favor a "may issue" program. If a guy could prove he needed a gun, maybe he should have it.

It aint necessarily so - that big-government is bad

Unfortunately, too many Americans believe the two parties are pretty much the same. They don't take time to understand the fundamental positions of each and the way Americans are affected by them. They pay attention to campaign advertising but not policy analyses.

I don't have any numbers. All we can do is point to Europe. They have strict gun laws and their gun death rates are very low.

It provides service to citizens and the expense of doing it shouldn't be a factor for a reasonable project.

The NRA Should Support the President's Executive Action on Guns

I'm dealing with the reality of life in America. My dream of gun-free communities is out-of-reach right now.
