Rallies all across the US and the world against the Trump administration's attacks against science. That endangering not just the future but also the present.

"The Stand Up for Science rallies are a response to the Trump administration’s siege of the US research enterprise. Since taking office in January, Trump and his team have laid off, and in some cases then tried to rehire, thousands from US science agencies, whose jobs involved nuclear safety, bird flu surveillance, extreme-weather forecasting and more. The administration has also attempted to freeze research grants at science-funding agencies including the US National Science Foundation. And it has tried to slash ‘overhead costs’ awarded to biomedical research institutions by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) — although federal judges have since blocked this action. This week, Nature revealed that, under Trump, the NIH — the world’s largest public funder of biomedical research — has begun mass termination of active research grants for projects studying topics, including transgender health, that do not align with the administration’s political ideology."

That the Trump administration is the culmination of decades of attacks against science and facts from powerful economical interests and the right.

Great news. Those agencies are at the forefront of the climate change scam, and they do nothing but alter data and make up BS. It's time for real science instead of moronic leftist propaganda posing as such. Good job, President Trump! (y)

And you are a perfect example as to why these people are protesting. Trump thumbing his nose at the science behind stopping the spread of Covid led to an extra 140.000 dead Americans. Take a bow.

Covid happened because your idol Adolf Fauci financed the Wuhan Lab, so you should apologize to all those who died.

All unnecessary government spending needs to cease. Looks like a good start to me.

Lol - remind me of the "pink *****" women protest during Trump's first presidency.

So many so-called scientific research were not necessary. It's wasted funding and grants.
Like sometime ago, somebody did a research and found out less sleep lessens your brain function!
Hahahaha old news!

10 Ridiculously Unnecessary Scientific Studies

The 10 Most Ridiculous Scientific Studies

Crisis in basic research: scientists publish too much

Scientists slice their results up into as many publications as they can, and the result is that a large portion of research output is unnecessary, say scientists.

If Trump supporters are against education, because they don't know what it does, and against international assistance, because they don't know where it goes, and against vaccines, because they don't know how they work, then of course they're going to be against any funding for the sciences, because science is just a word on a page to them, nothing more.

They want to destroy anything they don't understand, and they don't understand much.

They've lived their whole lives in the most privileged condition of anyone on the planet, and so naturally they've never felt the consequences of their willful ignorance.

If you simply remember that most Trump supporters are not intelligent people, then everything they do makes sense, and no further explanation is necessary.

Simply give them an anecdote or two that makes all scientific pursuit seem silly, and they will ride those anecdotes to the end of our flat earth.

The only moronic propaganda originates with the polluters, and their right-wing-nut profiteers, whose own studies have shown for generations already that fossil fuels contribute to anthropogenic global warming.

Shitty job, president Trump! You are nothing but an idiot, and a tool for fossil fuels. (n)

I've posted that series 3 or 4 times. The right will never watch it because they don't want to know. Facts are anathema to MAGA

Oh, the irony—someone proclaiming their own intellectual superiority while completely misrepresenting their opponents' views and failing to grasp the actual disagreement.

Trump supporters (and conservatives in general) aren’t against science, education, or international aid in principle. What they are skeptical of is how these institutions are run, who controls them, and whether they actually serve the public good or just push a particular agenda. That’s a pretty big distinction, but it seems to have gone right over your head.

You know it's propaganda without watching it. You got a line on next week's Powerball numbers too?
What are the chances of it not being propaganda, posted by you?

At the start: "What do you do when your industry can no longer exist without creating catastrophes world wide?"

Flat out lies and propaganda.

Living in denial. Must be very relaxing.

LOL since you hate fossil fuels so much, lets see you live without it. This will be fun. :ROFLMAO:

No, it isn't that at all. Trump supporters, it turns out, understand themselves less than virtually anybody around them. Ignorant people don't know they're ignorant, but everyone around them can see it.

They simply think they know better, without any evidence to support their belief. They think that the anecdotes that Fox News feeds them are how intelligent people learn, and to me that's frankly hilarious.

This idea that they already know better is the blueprint of the ignoramus. It why know-it-all posts from Trump-supporting morons are so common here.

But sure, you type the word "irony," and it makes you feel better for the moment.

You still want to blame COVID death's on Trump?

I've never heard a single leftist blame China for COVID.

People blame Trump for so many Covid deaths because Trump did so much to cause the death of so many.

As a Trump supporter, it's your job to deny that reality until you die, and nobody will ever expect any different from you.

It's odd how so many Trump supporters flock to the threads they have no chance of surviving without unintentionally flogging themselves.

THE SECOND that magas get cancer they will beg for scientists / doctors.

I'd much rather they stick with their beliefs and shoot themselves up with ivermectin or lick a car battery or go with whatever hillbilly cure the Twitter Medical Foundation has squirted out.

Instead of science or medicine, which of course can't be trusted.
